Multiple OS in VPS Servers
If you select one of our VPS server solutions, you will have 3 different Operating Systems to select from - CentOS, Debian and Ubuntu. They are all Linux releases and we offer them instead of offering just a single OS, because the applications that you might choose to run on the server may have specific requirements regarding the software environment. Each of these three has certain pros regarding the available packages that you may afterwards install, but what is common between them is that they are very secure and reliable and have huge communities which support them. The web hosting Control Panel choices for the VPS accounts depend on your OS choice, so as to give you more flexibility. When you order the virtual server with one OS and you need a different one later, our technical support team can easily reinstall the VPS with the new one in a couple of minutes. We also offer the option to keep the Operating System on your server up-to-date weekly.
Multiple OS in Dedicated Servers
We offer three Operating Systems with our dedicated server packages - CentOS, Ubuntu and Debian. They're all different Linux distributions and we offer them not only because they're freely available so they will not increase the price of your new web hosting server, but also because they are very stable and secure. Each one of them is supported by a vast community of developers, so you'll be given the option to choose from countless software packages that you could install on your server if the application that you would like to work with has specific requirements. The Operating System will also determine what hosting Control Panel you can use as the Control Panels that we offer run on specific OSs only and because we would like to provide you with as much freedom as possible, we offer several OSs and multiple Control Panels. In case you get a server with a given OS, we could change it upon request in case it turns out that you need another one. We will also keep your OS updated weekly as a part of our useful Managed Services upgrade.
